Engaging Different Generations

Engaging different generations

When someone dies, it is a very potent moment for friends and family. Not only a time to reflect on the traditions of past but a time to discuss hopes for the future.

The difficulty lies in engaging and connecting people across generations; people with different perspectives, expectations, tastes, preferences and communications styles.

Verbal conversation obviously still exists, but you only have to look around to see people are more comfortable with technology for staying connected. Younger generations are even relying on electronic media and social networking to manage relationships with close friends.

Of course, you can choose to ignore this change in behavior but you miss the opportunity to easily share history and hand down values of prior generations.

Tributes. To provides a sanctuary that is convenient for all generations to visit, honour and remember those you love and lost.
